Minis - U6 to U9

This is age group has a weekly afternoon training session and Saturday morning non-competition’ game (i.e. the game results are not recorded and there is no competition ladder or finals) run jointly by the 10 clubs in the Manly and Warringah Junior Rugby Unions.

Manly JRU

Harbord Harlequins, Manly Roos, Seaforth Balgowlah Raiders & Forest Rugby.

Warringah JRU

Newport Breakers, Narrabeen Tigers, Collaroy Cougars, Dee Why Lions, Terrey Hills Wolves & Wakehurst Rugby (Belrose).

The teams are not graded and adhere to modified rules in accordance with ARU Rugby Pathway, with an emphasis on fun and basic skills development.

Minis play on Saturday mornings, (8am-1pm), with venues ranging from Manly in the south to Newport in the north to Belrose and Forestville in the west.

U6 & U7 - Walla Rugby (7 players per team) 2-handed tag on shorts instead of tackle, uncontested scrums and lineouts.

U8 & U9 - Mini Rugby (10 players per team) Tackle replaces tag, still uncontested scrums and lineouts.

GALA DAY (U8 & U9)

Harbord Harlequins host a Gala day for invitational U8 and U9 teams from across Sydney in the middle of season.
